The Masterdive Subic diving school is a place where novices can learn the basics of scuba diving step by step. For the advanced divers, the instructions provided will allow them to further sharpen their skills and discover more techniques to help them navigate the waters.
There are several courses offered at this diving school (the language used is English) from the basics to the more advanced. For scuba diving the cost is $25 per dive. This comes with a boat, the guide and all the equipment. For a night dive the cost is $32. For PADI courses, the rate begins at $50 (with an hour study of the basics of diving). For open water it is $300 (4 day training); for first aid the cost at the Masterdive Subic is $110 (2 days); to be a Dive Master the cost is $550 and training for 21 days.
Other specialty courses on tap include deep diving ($50), night diving (135), going around wrecks ($80), underwater photography ($130), search and recovery ($180), and there are also courses on Nitrox ranging from an introduction ($50) to deep air ($500). Utilizing a single tank or deco dive will cost an additional $35 while a double tank is $40. A course on being an equipment specialist is $110; for buoyancy it is $100 (with a discount of 10% once the dive goes beyond six dives).
The Masterdive Subic also offers other facilities and amenities besides diving and swimming. There is Valcos Helm where the guests can relax and savor the views of the shores and the beautiful sunsets. With its many fine drinks, beautifully decorated environment, not to mention the fine ambience, it makes for an even better place to relax with your friends, or even meet new ones. There is also an eatery where you can dine on fine cuisine which is as diverse as the sites you can explore.
At the Shevans Resort you can relax in the air conditioned rooms with complete cable access (cost is $18 a night). Of course, other fine accommodations like a furnished bedroom, lamps, bathrooms and more are available for the guests.
The Masterdive Subic is at Vascos Restaurant and Bar at the Freeport and is less than ten minutes from the major wreck and dive sites. Being so near these locations, savoring the view of the waters, not to mention the other fine accommodations, make this more than just an average diving school.
